South Korea: Court rules student suspension is invalid

The Handong University Unfair Disciplinary Joint Measure Committee announced "we have won" when Mr. S, who had been suspended from the university in front of the Daegu District Court Pohang support, won on the 30th. Mr. S filed a lawsuit in December 2017 after receiving a suspension from a feminist lecture on campus.

The civil affairs department of the Pohang-gu, Seoul, Korea (Judge Young-Chul Lim) won the plaintiff's ruling on the 30th, saying, “The university's disposition is excessive.”

The court ruled “The schools argument that the event was inconsistent with the school’s philosophy is reasonable, but the discipline is excessive.” Read more via news
