In celebration of Pride Month, we want to share a StoryCorps favorite: the 2016 Sundance Film Festival selection, “The Saint of Dry Creek.”

Patrick Haggerty grew up the son of a dairy farmer in rural Washington during the 1950s. As a teenager, Patrick began to find himself. At StoryCorps, Patrick told his daughter, Robin, about the day his father, Charles Edward Haggerty, decided to have a serious talk with him. But one day, after performing at a school assembly, Pat learned that his father could see him much more clearly than he realized.
