South Africa: New short fiction from Queer Africa 2: ‘Nine Pieces of Desire’

Exclusive to The JRB, new short fiction by Kenyan writer Idza L excerpted from Queer Africa 2, courtesy of MaThoko’s Books, an imprint of Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action (GALA), in collaboration with the independent feminist press Modjaji Books. Queer Africa 2 is a new anthology featuring twenty-six stories that foreground the politics of sexuality on the African continent and in the diaspora.
