La Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) fue enfática en señalar ayer al Gobierno de Chile que el punto central del Acuerdo de Solución Amistosa (ASA) que el Estado de Chile firmó con el Movimiento de Integración y Liberación Homosexual (Movilh) pasa por impulsar el matrimonio igualitario.

In a private meeting on October 2nd, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) was emphatic in pointing out to the Government of Chile that the central point of the Friendly Settlement Agreement (ASA) that the State of Chile signed with the Movement for Homosexual Integration and Liberation (Movilh) is to promote equal marriage. El Ejecutivo ha sido citado el próximo 2 de octubre en Estados Unidos para tratar el tema y sus compromisos pendientes respecto al Acuerdo de Solución Amistosa que firmó ante la comisión.
La Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) citó al Gobierno de Chile para que avance los trámites legislativos del matrimonio igualitario en el país tal y como se comprometió a hacerlo en el Acuerdo de Solución Amistosa (ASA) firmado ante el ente continental.
El Movimiento de Integración y Liberación Homosexual (Movilh) anunció hoy el “inédito” llamado de la CIDH al Ejecutivo chileno, al que se ha citado el próximo 2 de octubre en Estados Unidos para tratar el tema.
Dicha audiencia viene precedida de un aviso del Movilh a la Comisión, a través de un documento en el que explicaba que el Gobierno, encabezado por el presidente Sebastián Piñera, mantenía incumplidos varios puntos firmados en el ASA.
Entre esos puntos se encuentra el negativo avance parlamentario del proyecto de matrimonio igualitario que impulsó en agosto de 2017 el Ejecutivo de Michelle Bachelet.
Bajo el segundo período de la ex mandataria (2014-2018) se aprobó la ley que establece el Acuerdo de Unión Civil (AUC) entre parejas de distinto o el mismo sexo, pero se ha mantenido la presión de organizaciones sociales a favor del matrimonio homosexual.
Además de ese ámbito, el Movilh también denunció “declaraciones públicas de funcionarios gubernamentales contra el matrimonio igualitario”, como las realizadas por el ministro del Interior, Andrés Chadwick, el pasado julio, en las que se manifestó en contra de este tipo de enlaces. Inter-American Commission calls on Chile to discuss progress in legislative procedures for equal marriage
The Executive has been summoned on October 2 in the United States to discuss the issue and its outstanding commitments regarding the Friendly Settlement Agreement that it signed before the commission.
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (CIDH)summoned the Government of Chile to advance the legislative procedures of equal marriage in the country as promised to do so in the Friendly Settlement Agreement (ASA) signed before the continental entity.
The Movement of Homosexual Integration and Liberation (Movilh) today announced the "unprecedented" call of the IACHR to the Chilean Executive, which has been cited on October 2 in the United States to discuss the issue.
This hearing is preceded by a notice from Movilh to the Commission, through a document in which it explained that the Government, led by President Sebastián Piñera, kept several points signed in the ASA unfulfilled.
Among those points is the negative parliamentary progress of the equal marriage project promoted by the Executive of Michelle Bachelet in August 2017.
Under the second term of the former president (2014-2018) the law establishing the Civil Union Agreement (AUC) between couples of different or same sex was approved, but the pressure of social organizations in favor of gay marriage has been maintained .
In addition to this area, the Movilh also denounced "public statements of government officials against equal marriage" , such as those made by the Minister of the Interior, Andrés Chadwick, last July, in which he protested against this type of links.
