Além de distribuir 130 milhões de preservativos e 9,9 milhões de sachês de gel lubrificante, o Ministério da Saúde vai investir na prevenção combinada por meio de atividades educativas e ampliação do acesso a novas tecnologias, como testagem rápida (incluindo fluido oral), profilaxia pós-exposição e profilaxia pré-exposição.
Com o intuito de proteger a população das doenças sexualmente transmissíveis durante o período carnavalesco, todas as ações da campanha “Pare, pense e use” serão executadas a partir desta sexta-feira (1º).
Neste ano, a prioridade são os homens com idade entre 15 e 39 anos, grupo mais afetado pelo vírus HIV. Dos 30.659 novos casos de HIV registrados no País em 2017, 73% afetaram pessoas do sexo masculino.
