Four new victims of homophobia and transphobia added this week, being a fact crossed by police abuses, denounced today the Movement of Integration and Homosexual Liberation (Movilh) that called for the “cessation of hate crimes and the urgent approval of the reform to the Zamudio Law ”.
One of the most serious abuses affected a 46-year-old Venezuelan citizen in the vicinity of the Ecuador Park in Concepción, where four subjects attacked him, leaving him with various injuries.
“From the way I walked they realized that I was gay and they attacked me. They told me "look unfortunate fagot, we're going to kill you." They gave me various blows with their fists and feet on the body and on the face, ”said the affected person, whose case was reported by Movilh to the Municipality of Concepción for attention
Meanwhile, two young people; a trans woman and a gay man; They were insulted because of their sexual orientation and gender identity by a group of people with whom they were sharing in a benefit parade, in the El Monte commune, Movilh said.
"To my friend they began to say 'fag' and to me that I was not a woman." They began to beat us with their hands and then beat us with their feet and with a stick. In a moment, we managed to escape from the place, ”said the victim.
The victims reported injuries in the El Monte Metropolitan Health Service. The woman was diagnosed with "injuries at the level of the face with a blunt object" and the man "injury at the eyelid level with deep bleeding wound."
In search of help, the victims went to a police station located at Avenida Libertadores 233, El Monte, however there they refused to take a statement.
“I explained to a police officer that they were not taking the complaint from us. He only answered us "shut up culiaos holes". They pushed my friend and put shackles on him, ”the young woman reported to Movilh, an organization that will file a claim with the police, in addition to referring the case to the Undersecretariat for Crime Prevention so that they can provide free legal and psychological guidance to the victims.
