São Paulo city councilwoman Erika Hilton (PSOL) will file an action on Wednesday (6) against 50 people who allegedly made transphobic, racist and sexist threats against the parliamentarian on social networks.
Hilton's defense brought together posts that bring insults and insults such as “being despicable”, “filthy race”, “vagabunda”, “donkey”, “traveco” and “hair like this to remove rust from iron”.
The lawsuit asks the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram platforms for profile data so that their owners are sentenced to pay an indemnity of around R $ 10,000 for moral damages.
The amount of the repair, according to the councilor's mandate, will be used to pay notary costs for rectifying the name and gender of transgender people in a vulnerable situation, until the gratuity is provided by law.
"When a black and transvestite woman starts to occupy a prestigious public function, attacks on social networks are used as a scare tactic," says the action, which is represented by Claro and Serrano.
