The author and coordinator of the project is Perm journalist Anastasia Sechin. “My task is to inspire people to be more open. On the one hand, representatives of the LGBT community do not come out of the shadow because of the high level of homophobia, quite rightly fearing certain things. On the other hand, they feed their homophobia with their closed lifestyle, becoming the foundation for the emergence of various stereotypes and prejudices. It turns out a vicious circle from which to exit, "- she said.
The Perm LGBT group “Rainbow World” helped Sechin to find the first stories, and then journalists from other countries began to publish stories with the permission of the heroes of their materials.
“The project contains stories of people from countries with a similar context: with a high level of homophobia, discriminatory laws, or lack of anti-discrimination legislation. Initially, we planned to publish anonymous stories, but people decided to open up - all of them, with the exception of one, are presented under real names and with real photographs. It is planned that the list of stories will be updated. But we do not urge everyone to make public comingings, because the first and most important thing is to open up to yourself, ”explained Sechin.

В России стартовал проект «Мы принимаем», который рассказывает об ЛГБТ-сообществе в станах с высоким уровнем гомо-, би- и трансфобии. Среди них — Россия, Албания, Казахстан, Узбекистан, Киргизия, Хорватия, Косово и Македония. Об этом сообщают «Такие дела».
Автор и координатор проекта — пермская журналистка Анастасия Сечина. «Моя задача — вдохновить людей на большую открытость. С одной стороны, представители ЛГБТ-сообщества не выходят из тени из‑за высокого уровня гомофобии, совершенно справедливо опасаясь определенных вещей. С другой — своим закрытым образом жизни они подпитывают гомофобию, становятся фундаментом для появления различных стереотипов и предубеждений. Получается замкнутый круг, из которого надо выходить», — рассказала она.
