US: Westboro Baptist Church protests at college campus, realizes very quickly that was a terrible idea

Westboro Baptist Church know they’re hated, but they were never expecting what happened at one protest. Four members from the Kansas-based ‘God Hates Fags’ hate group wished to protest at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Carnegie Mellon allows trans people to use the bathroom of gender they identify as, and also has non-gendered restrooms available. In response to the hate group, hundreds of counter-protesters fought back drowning out the church’s hate with chants, drums, and bagpipes. They were met with hundreds of counter-protesters from CMU, the University of Pittsburgh, and neighboring communities. You can't see it in the video, but the Westboro Baptist Church members are only about 10ft to my right.
