The LGBT Centre has trained the first batch of police officers on recognising and investigating discrimination-related crimes under the recently effective new Criminal Code that has for the historic first time criminalised discrimination in Mongolia, with protected grounds including sexual orientation and gender identity. The initiative of training 100 police officers from all across Mongolia under the Centre's project "A Tolerant & Hate-free Mongolia" is being done in three segments, on 7-8 August, 10-11 August and 14-15 August, and is funded by the U.S. Embassy - Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, The Asia Foundation and Ambassade de France en Mongolie.
