The polemic ruling that allows the treatment of homosexuality as a disease continue today in Brazil after the decision of the Federal Council of Psychology (CFP) to appeal the ruling.
CFP appealed yesterday the ruling issued by federal judge Waldemar Claudio de Carvalho, who temporarily authorized therapists to treat patients with sexual orientation conversion therapies.
De Carvalho's ruling favored three psychologists that asked for the overturn of CFP's resolution that prohibits psychologists from treating homosexuality as a disease, or joining events or services that suggest treatment or cure. Read more via Prensa Latina
