Jean-Luc Romero, élu du XIIe arrondissement de Paris, militant pour les droits des LGBT+ et engagé dans la lutte contre le sida, a lancé une pétition, mercredi 31 octobre dernier, appelant le gouvernement à faire de la lutte contre le sexisme et les LGBTphobies la Grande cause nationale pour l’année 2019.
Il n’aurait jamais pensé qu’en 2018, il « aurait encore à écrire, pour dénoncer la haine de l’autre ». Et pourtant. L’homme politique et activiste, Jean-Luc Romero a décidé d’interpeller le Premier ministre, Edouard Philippe, en lançant une pétition appelant le gouvernement à faire de la lutte contre le sexisme et les LGBTphobies la Grande cause nationale pour l’année 2019.
« J’ai observé la multiplication inquiétante des agressions homophobes en France – des actes de haine et de violence qui sont devenus quasi-quotidiens ces dernières semaines. Avec l’ouverture du débat tant attendu sur la PMA, je redoute en conséquence que (…) de nouvelles agressions aient lieu dans les prochaines semaines en proportion toujours plus croissante », lance-t-il.
Contacté par TÊTU, l’élu du XIIe arrondissement de Paris insiste sur l’urgence à agir au vu « du contexte actuel », de « ‘l’extrémisation’ de certains » et de la «libération de la parole sur les réseaux sociaux ». Il souhaite, avec cette pétition, impliquer l’ensemble du gouvernement. « La grande cause est décidée par le Premier ministre et engage ensuite l’ensemble des ministères à effectuer un travail sur le sujet pendant une année. Cela pourrait être une vraie force en 2019, surtout pendant les débats sur la PMA dans l’hémicycle », martèle-t-il. Read more via Tetu
