Our Circle, an LGBT advocacy group based in Belize is launching new projects aimed at strengthening ties within the local LGBT community.

The organization has launched their Brown Bag Series for “Activists, Advocates & Allies”.

The Brown Bag series is being administered under the Sexual Acceptance for Everyone (SAFE) project being funded by the Inter American Foundation (IAF).

The group aims to identify and support individual role models and pioneers who are equipped to advocate for safe and inclusive environments within already existing social structures.

This is a bi-monthly discussion during lunch breaks, with persons passionate about a cause and interested in making a difference, regardless of the cause.

So far, at the Center, the organization has had William Neal and Dolores Balderamos hosting the first two sessions. Read more via BBN
