Poland: Rafał Trzaskowski's response to LGBT + and WHO standards

- I will respond to misleading public opinion about my intentions as well as scandalous and unacceptable manipulations and libeling - said the mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski. He also announced that he would not tolerate hate speech, including against the background of sexual identity.

The Mayor of Warsaw has published a statement in connection with information appearing on the internet and in the media regarding the sex education standards of the World Health Organization (WHO). 

"Publicized content is overt manipulation and a lie WHO standards are not a lesson program - they describe the developmental stages of a child in accordance with medical knowledge, they are a recommendation for parents, educators and specialists used in most developed countries" - he wrote. 

According to him, the example of manipulation is the claim that standards urge children aged 0-4 to "play doctor". He explained that the standards clearly state that it is about how to teach a child, where to put the limits of this type of play with his peers.

"Another manipulation is the statement that standards encourage sex at an early age, although standards clearly focus on how to develop emotionality during adolescence and how to protect children from the risks of early intercourse , sex in the media, pornography and pedophilia, "he added. 

"There is no country in the world where sex education in any form would be introduced at the stage of nurseries and kindergartens, and this is not planned in Warsaw. The subject of sexual education appears in the curriculum according to the core curriculum of the Ministry of Education only in the fourth grade primary school - as education for living in a family "- he explained.

Będę reagował na wprowadzanie w błąd opinii publicznej co do moich intencji oraz skandaliczne i niedopuszczalne manipulacje i pomówienia – oświadczył prezydent Warszawy Rafał Trzaskowski. Zapowiedział też, że nie będzie tolerował nawoływania do nienawiści m.in. na tle tożsamości seksualnej.

Prezydent Warszawy opublikował oświadczenie w związku z informacjami pojawiającymi się w internecie i mediach, dotyczącymi standardów edukacji seksualnej Światowej Organizacji Zdrowia (WHO).

"Upubliczniane treści są jawną manipulacją i kłamstwem. Standardy WHO to nie program lekcji – opisują one etapy rozwojowe dziecka zgodnie z wiedzą medyczną. Są zaleceniem dla rodziców, pedagogów i specjalistów, stosowanym w większości rozwiniętych państw świata" – napisał.

Według niego przykładem manipulacji jest twierdzenie, że standardy namawiają dzieci w wieku 0-4 lata do "zabawy w lekarza". Wyjaśnił, że w standardach wyraźnie napisane jest, że chodzi o to, jak uczyć dziecko, gdzie stawiać granice tego rodzaju zabaw z rówieśnikami.

"Inna manipulacja to stwierdzenie, że standardy namawiają do seksu w młodym wieku, choć standardy wyraźnie koncentrują się na tym, jak rozwijać emocjonalność w okresie dojrzewania i jak uchronić dzieci przed zagrożeniami dotyczącymi zbyt wczesnego rozpoczynania współżycia, seksu w mediach, pornografii i pedofilii" – dodał.

"Nie ma kraju na świecie, w którym na etapie żłobków i przedszkoli do zajęć byłaby wprowadzana edukacja seksualna w jakiejkolwiek formie i nie jest to planowane w Warszawie. Tematyka wychowania seksualnego pojawia się w programie nauczania, zgodnie z podstawą programową MEN, dopiero w IV klasie szkoły podstawowej – jako wychowanie do życia w rodzinie" – wyjaśnił.
