Planet Ally hosted the second Asia-Pacific Rainbow Families Forum (APRFF) on May 11-12th, 2018 in Hong Kong. Support, acceptance and visibility of these families has been ignored in the region for far too long. Proof of this was seen with the incredible growth in participation from 10 countries at our inaugural Forum in 2017, compared to 26 countries represented in 2018 - nearly tripling participation!
APRFF 2018 was a deliberate attempt to disrupt mainstream perceptions of rainbow families, through their lived experiences, courageous visibility, and the sharing of personal truths. Thank you to all the generous sponsors, partners and especially the human rights defenders who have shared their stories and who live their truth with their families every day, so we can look forward to more families being protected and celebrated in the future!
