Élisabeth MORENO, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, presented on Wednesday 14 October the "National Action Plan for Equal Rights , against hatred and anti-LGBT + discrimination 2020-2023 ". With 42 concrete actions, the government's new national action plan is based on four areas: recognition of the rights of LGBT + people; strengthening their access to rights; fighting anti-LGBT + hatred and improving the daily life of LGBT + people.
The “National Action Plan for Equality, Against Hate and Anti-LGBT + Discrimination 2020-2023” concerns all areas of daily life: the family sphere, school, university, work, sport, health, etc.
Particular attention will be paid to the most invisible people: lesbians, bi, trans, intersex as well as people living with HIV and LGBT + seniors.
The plan's 42 measures include:
The opening up of medically assisted procreation (MAP) to female couples and single women
Facilitating the use of the common first name for trans people in unofficial administrative documents for civil servants and users alike
The development of a guide on the reception of trans pupils and students intended for all staff of National Education and Higher Education
The fight against so-called "conversion" therapies
Continuing to adapt administrative forms to include homoparental families
The development of continuing training for LGBT + referents within police stations and gendarmerie brigades
The implementation of these 42 actions will involve all government services but also local communities, associations and private sector companies. The objective is to make equality for lesbians, gays, bi and trans people a concrete and effective equality.
It is up to us to implement it, together!
